Some things about me
My name is María, I am Spanish (from Salamanca) and I am 26 years old.
I’ve loved languages for as long as I can remember, which is why I decided to study Translation and Interpreting. I also speak English, French, and Italian.

When I finished university, I wasn’t sure what my next step was 😅, so I went to France for a year to work as a Spanish language assistant at two high schools.
This experience made me realize that I loved teaching my native language, so when I returned to Spain, I continued my training as an ELE teacher.
For the past three years, I’ve been teaching online Spanish classes to people interested in learning the Spanish that native speakers actually speak.
Why me and not someone else?
It’s no secret that there are tons of great Spanish teachers out there. But I want to tell you what sets me apart from the rest so you can decide if I’m the right teacher for you 🙂:
- As a language student, I’m very curious. I like to observe, and that makes me ask myself questions like, “How do you say “segura” in English?” or “Is there an equivalent of “Se te va la olla” in Italian?”
- This curiosity allows me to recognize the things my students might want to learn. Because, as a teacher, I always try to teach what I would have liked to have been taught as a student.
- I want you to make the most of your time in my classes, so I’ll suggest using the flipped classroom methodology (but only if you think it fits your learning process):

- I believe it’s extremely important for teachers to continue their training and not settle for using traditional methods (it’s been proven that some of them are less effective). That’s why I recently began immersing myself in the world of cognitive grammar with the goal of implementing it in my teaching. And believe me: this way of learning grammar will make you less afraid of it and help you understand it better and more logically.
